Construction

Manufactured using 19 mm mild steel tubing with a 2 mm wall thickness, the Saddle Stay combines structural strength with lightweight construction.

The mounting system uses 1.5 mm laser-cut and pressed mild steel brackets, designed to mount directly onto the Apache RTX's dedicated luggage mounting points. A precision-machined mild steel spacer supports the forward mounting location, creating a rigid yet compact structure.

The complete assembly installs using OEM mounting points and can be fitted in under 15 minutes without any modifications.

Functionality

Purpose-built for soft luggage, the Saddle Stay provides stable support for 15L to 30L saddle bags while also working alongside the Auto Engina Top Rack Plate to support larger tail bags and touring luggage.

Its wide support profile helps keep luggage stable over rough roads while maintaining adequate clearance from the rear wheel and exhaust.

Each side is designed to safely carry up to 8 kg, making it equally suited for everyday commuting and extended touring.

Modular Design

A distinctive feature of the Saddle Stay is its modular nylon strap mounting plate.

More than just a strap anchor, it adds both functionality and visual detail to the overall design. The dedicated mounting points make securing luggage easier while contributing to the premium, modular appearance of the complete touring setup.

Aesthetics

Traditional saddle stays often leave the motorcycle with large rectangular frames even when no luggage is fitted.

The Auto Engina Saddle Stay takes a different approach.

Its lightweight triangular-inspired profile has been carefully developed to retain the support of a conventional rectangular stay while significantly reducing visual bulk. The result is a design that follows the Apache RTX's body lines and looks like it belongs on the motorcycle—even when you're not touring.
